the story

BtB marine was founded in 2006 by Chris & Eva Hough. Chris always dreamed of a workshop where his ideas could become reality. In January 2007 this became reality: BtB opened the doors...

Chris graduated as skipper in 1991 and went to work in fishing. Later he moved on to marine construction and cargo.

Now BtB marine has been busy with cutting jobs, building boats, fabrication, product development.. small jobs, big jobs (some you can see below). Chris' years of experience in building and cargo handling has been of immense value for our larger projects.

BtB marine specialised in Work Vessels in Survey, and when the NSCV came in, BtB Marine was on top making sure their vessels - small and larger - comply. Now BtB Marine has a great range of Vessels that can be built in Survey.

Private buyers are offcourse welcome too and many happy customers are enjoying their BtB MArine boat. With a growing team BtB marine looks forward to the future.

New vessels are always coming out, so keep checking th website, or sign up for our newsletter.

Project: WetSide Water Education Park - Hervey Bay

After more than a year since we had the first meeting, the waterpark has opened for the public! BtB marine was part of CNC cutting the internals for the whale statues according to architects drawings for local artist Chris Calcutt. We also fabricated the aluminium and stainless steel signs for contractor the Signdoctor in Hervey Bay.

BtB marine also ‘salvaged’ the approx. 160 watersprout brackets that were cut and formed with the wrong size hole.

Project: Sabre Gill 5.7 - PacMisc boat for the Solomon Islands

The Pacific Malaria Initiative Support Centre (PacMISC) is part of a $25 million AusAID commitment to intensified malaria control and progressive elimination in the South-West Pacific. The centre will initially focus on Solomon Islands and Vanuatu but may be extended to provide support to Papua New Guinea in future years.

BtB marine won the contract for the first boat and Chris and Eva went to Honiara to oversee the fitting of the motor by the local Yamaha Dealer.

Special thanks to Stacey, Luke, Yoshi and his workers
